Meet The Country Bourbon Band
Doyle Woods
Doyle Woods is a rhythm guitarist and a lead vocalist. He has played for many cover bands throughout the 60 years he has been playing and singing. Doyle has sung old rock and roll and loves that type of music, but his heart is firmly in classic country.
As a kid, Doyle spent countless hours listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio on Friday and Saturday nights with Mom and Dad and any siblings that were around. That only burned his love of Country music deep in to his soul. There has been a lot of music and a lot of bands over the years and they have all been good.
Doyle is currently playing and singing for the Country Bourbon Band a band that Doyle helped found in 2019. He often speaks of his experience with CBB as being very fulfilling. And he says he loves it more every time they play.
Dwain Lampkins ~ Bass / Vocals
Dwain began playing music in 1981, engaging in local Oklahoma jam sessions. He was first recruited by the Dog Creek Band in 1982. As Dwain's skill and popularity grew, his band membership included such groups as Chimney Rock and Southern Impact. Today, Dwain is at home with the Country Bourbon Band where he plays bass guitar with additional talents in vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion.
Derick Greene - Lead Guitar
Derck is a native Oklahoman, with a strong country music ethic. Starting music at a youthful age, he has evolved into one of the finest lead guitarists in his genre. This bio-photo was captured during one of Derick's instrumental performances in front of a crowd in the Band's hometown of Claremore, Oklahoma.
Jim Baumgardner
Jim Baumgardner began playing the drums at age 9 in his elementary school band. Shortly thereafter he played his first “gig” playing in a fife & drum duet on a float in the local Veteran’s Day parade.
Jim always loved music, and some of his earliest music memories are of listening to country legend, Marty Robbins on 8-track tape with his Dad. Growing up, Jim played in a variety of musical groups , including concert bands, marching bands, orchestras, jazz groups, rock, and of course, country bands.
After graduation, he studied music in college, playing an array of percussion instruments in several settings. These ranged from orchestral wind ensembles to a calypso steel drum band. As an adult, Jim continues to enjoy playing a variety of styles and instruments. But, he has focused more on playing the drums with rock/blues/country bands.
